How do events affect prices?
Las Vegas hosts large conventions, sporting events, concerts and holidays that fill hotels and raise prices. Notable examples include CES in early January, big college basketball weeks in March, the Formula 1 race weekend in November and New Year's Eve. Check the event calendar before booking, and if you want a bargain, avoid those weeks.
What is the cheapest time to go?
Prices are often lowest in the hot summer months, late November to mid-December (before the holidays) and the first weeks of January and February, apart from big conventions. Midweek stays are usually much cheaper than Friday and Saturday nights. Keep resort fees and parking charges in mind when comparing hotel prices.
