Cookie Policy
Effective date: July 28, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Vacay Alchemist (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on vacayalchemist.com (the “Service”), and the choices available to you. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They are widely used to make websites function, to remember your preferences, and to collect information about how a site is used. “Similar technologies” includes things like local storage, which some sites use in a comparable way.
2. Our Current Use of Cookies
As of the effective date above, vacayalchemist.com does not set any first-party analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, and does not use browser local storage or session storage to track you.
The Service does not require user accounts or logins, so we do not currently need strictly-necessary session or authentication cookies either. Access to your itinerary is handled through a unique link rather than a logged-in session.
If this changes in the future — for example, if we add analytics to understand site usage, or functionality that requires strictly-necessary cookies — we will update this policy to describe what is used and why, and will provide a cookie consent mechanism where required by applicable law.
3. Cookies Set by Third Parties
Some third-party services we rely on may set their own cookies on their own domains, outside of our control:
- Stripe— when you are redirected to Stripe’s secure checkout page (checkout.stripe.com) to complete payment, Stripe may set cookies for fraud prevention, security, and payment-processing purposes, governed by Stripe’s own cookie and privacy policies.
- Vercel— our hosting provider may use minimal technical cookies or equivalent mechanisms as part of its infrastructure (for example, for load balancing or basic security), governed by Vercel’s own policies.
- Third-party booking, activity, and restaurant platforms linked from your itinerary may set their own cookies once you click through to their sites; those are governed entirely by that third party’s own cookie policy, not this one.
We do not control third-party cookies. Please refer to each third party’s own cookie or privacy policy for details.
4. How to Control Cookies
Most web browsers let you control cookies through their settings, including blocking or deleting them. Because vacayalchemist.com itself does not currently rely on cookies for core functionality, blocking cookies in your browser should not prevent you from using the Service — though it may affect your experience on third-party sites you visit from your itinerary (for example, Stripe’s checkout page or booking platforms), some of which may require cookies to function properly.
You can typically manage cookie settings through your browser’s preferences menu. Refer to your browser’s help documentation for specific instructions.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, particularly if our use of cookies or similar technologies changes. If we make material changes, we will update the “Effective date” above.
